The Sacrifice

During an interview once, I was asked if I would be able to give up playing the trombone for that position. At the time it surprised me because I had never really thought about that as an option before.

Does anyone else in arts administration have the issue of not being able to practice or perform as much as you used to? Did you give it up by choice or force?

Even still, I found this is as far as my trombone gets to getting out of the case sometimes.
