Just a great quote about the arts from his book “A Man Without A Country.” Pretty inspiring.

P.S. It is also interesting to note that a lot of people take out the beginning of the actual sentence, which is, “If you want to really hurt your parents, and you don’t have the nerve to be gay…” How do you feel about that?

  1. Jsburke says:

What is an art to you? Is it simply what one traditionally thinks it is (paintings, music.etc.) or could the art of a diagnosis in a patient considered one? Or the cliché art of war? You get my drift young blood

    Nice quote though

  3. I think what you have stated are all true. Art is a creation of any type of human skill whether it be the ability to accurately and efficiently give medical diagnosis, develop war tactics, visual and performing arts, and even the art of public speaking. I think this quote is great because it encourages you to create anything that will make you happy. In all, creating something that allows one to be him or herself.
