Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s Live Stream of Musikfest in Berlin

I am watching the Pittsburgh Symphony today as they start the Berlin Music Festival.

“As part of their European tour, Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra are giving the inaugural performance at this year’s Musikfest Berlin on August 31 at 2:00 p.m. EDT (today).”

The concert featured violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter as she performed the Lutosławski: Chain II, Dialogue for violin and orchestra.

You can catch the Philharmonie Berlin live online on http://liveweb.arte.tv/

“The complete concert will be available for three weeks; the orchestral works will stay online for six months in the archive of ARTE Live Web and on the Web sites of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and American Public Media.”

The full program is featuring:

Janáček: Suite for string orchestra

Lutosławski: Chain II, Dialogue for violin and orchestra

Strauss: Ein Heldenleben
